EXVELIA PEG 600 meets the restricted quality parameters defined in latest edition of European Pharmacopoeia, thanks to which it may be classified as a macrogol. Macrogols are a pharmacopoeial name for polyethylene glycols which are used as one of additives for medicines, ointments, dermocosmetics or other pharmaceutical formulations.

Due to their specific properties, macrogols act as solvents and solubilisers for active and auxiliary substances in pharmaceutical formulations. POLIkol 600PF can be used in order improve the rheological properties (an increase in viscosity) of liquid pharmaceutical preparations and ointments.
